Stairlift Grant Advice

Grants for Stairlifts

Do you or a member of your family need a stairlift in the home but are worried about the cost involved? Many people are unaware that grants are available to help with the cost of a stairlift, often up to 100% of the cost.

We deal with grants on a daily basis, are approved by all Local Authorities and aim to make the process as hassle free as possible.

Who Approves Stairlift Grants - the HSE or Local Authority/County Council?

Your Local Authority/County Council approves all Home Adaptation Grant and Mobility Aids Grant schemes.

How to Apply for a Stairlift Grant

BM Stairlifts have many years of experience in the area of stairlift grant applications, in every council throughout Ireland, and will guide you through the process with minimum fuss, answering any questions you might have.

The grant can also cover many other home adaptations, including ramps and bathrooms, which we can also assist with.

  • Ring your local council and ask for the housing grant section.
  • If it is a straight staircase, ask for a Mobility Aids Grant application form.
  • If there is a turn on your staircase or you need a bathroom conversion, ask for a Housing Adaptation Grant application form.
  • The Mobility Aids Grant is available to households where the gross annual income does not exceed €30,000.
  • We understand that the process of downloading and completing forms can feel daunting and a little overwhelming which is why we help our customers with the application process.
